This is an example of irreparable concrete pillar, where the vertical cracks were 
diagnosed with total loss of durability. There are two standard ways to fix the 
problem: to arrange pre-stressed metal bandages or to replace it with new one. 

Another way is using the KALMATRON® KF-B application to fill up cracks with 
identical to concrete matter. It means to fuse crumbled cementitious material 
inside of the cracks into solid continuous material. 
This process takes up to 60 days. As shown on the picture, the crack started fillingup below the KF-B application. This effect has been observed with every application. The measured effect on compressive strength is up to 45% over initial one.

Measured depth of KF-B penetration into cracked structure is 48 cm was more 
than efficient to seal damaged concrete by application with regular trowel.    
Fast streams of flood water washed out the sacrificial layer of pre-stressed concrete structures. The most difficult part of that renovation is to provide initial thickness of sacrificial layer. During observation of the structures  shown on pictures at left, it was noticed also that pre-stressed rebar was damaged by rusting and had lost tensional contact with concrete. 

Tensional contact gives a  concrete structure the ability to resist flexural tensions, such as  structures designed for beams, spans, and consoles.
On the picture above is shown the console of reinforced concrete beam that is partly coated with KALMATRON® KF-B. 

The purpose of this application is to restore tensional contact between rebar and concrete. The integrity of rebar and concrete was restored completely. On the picture at left is shown the pillar’s upper part that was structurally jointed with the beam. This part of the pillar is damaged by carbonization and cracks caused by shrinkage structural deformations. 

KALMATRON® KF-B was applied with the purpose of restoring uniformity of concrete body by healing the cracks. 
It took a few hours to observe solidification of concrete that provided a reliable structural joint with the beam provided by  KF-B penetration into the concrete structure. *

Below is the picture of the final application of KF-B. The restoration of beam-pillar joint was successfully completed.
